I read Grimm's Fairy Tales Cinderella and I liked this scene. In the story the bird gives Cinderella her outfits. This is how I imagined the bird ^^

It's kinda like, Disney meets "real fairytale", so the Cinderella is a bit Disney-ish and the bird kinda like something you could see in a fairytale book.

EDIT:

I made it a bit darker, because it always looks lighter in DA than my photoshop :/

The Grimm's version of Cinderella is so terribly gory-and awesome. This is beautifully done-the little bird is especially cute.

I think it'd look a bit better though if you used something other than brown to shade everything, though. Like, she kinda pops too much from the background and it might help if you used a small amount of green shading on her too. :3

I know, I just suck at shading

I'm having a very hard time to understand/seeing the colors and thinking in 3D, I dunno why =/

X3 I have the same problem, so you're not alone.

Just remember that it makes a drawing much more interesting if your shading isn't a general skin tone color or whatever. Try purple, blue, etc.
